Artist's Description

I did this painting after vacationing with my family in Nova Scotia and visiting Cape Chignecto with my brother in law, who owned Driftwood Park Retreat in Advocate Harbour, just up the road, back at that time. I took many photos along the Fundy coast and in Cape Breton. I have painted very few so far.

Michael Arthur Goguen : Canadian artist Born: July 10, 1967 I am a self-taught artist who first began drawing when I was old enough to hold a crayon. By the later school grades and into junior High School, my artwork consisted primarily of graphite pencil sketching which I very much enjoyed. However, I wished to add colour to my art as well as start using materials which I perceived, at the time, to be more permanent than pencil on paper(with my limited knowledge, at the time, about paper quality). In 1981, I was living in Aylmer, Quebec. I was not yet 14 years old when I decided to take up the paint brush and start oil painting, which I enjoyed even more than pencil sketching.
